Its very easy to treat PSHE as a circle time where we share our ideas and listen to others.
PSHE is more than just solving a friendhsip problem and should be approached differently according to the task at hand.
I regularly begin with a round - so individual work, then a whole class discussion, paired talk and group work before coming back to the individual round.
Sometimes we work in large groups, small groups or pairs and sometimes I split the class into ability groups and sometimes mixed ability.
Think about the session at hand, how will the children get the most out of it? How will they be encouraged to put thought into the concepts at hand and challenge themselves?
