Give them a chance to find out what you will be teaching their children.
Hold parent meetings that give an overview of the content.
Remember they come from where their child is now - so don't scare them with content above their child's years.
Ask for feedback to continually improve your provision and gain their views on SRE.
Try and hold small meetings so that you can deal with any questions.
Give them opportunities to speak to you outside of the meeting so that they can share their concerns.

This year I'm running short meetings for each year group. The idea being looking at child maturity. This is what we teach them this year. Therefore you have no need to worry that we are doing these things ( insert next few years content here)!
Yes, after last years well attended meetings I noticed the fear in parents eyes when talking about the whole key stage content, even though I broke it down into year groups. So now shorter meetings one year group at a time focusing only on the coming content.

This year I did year group meetings.Well worth it. So many went away happy - one asked for a SRE book share to help approach subjects with their child and y4 asked for a lesson on body changes as some of their children are starting to grow hair, hips, breasts and start periods.
NO WITHDRAWN CHILDREN THIS YEAR!
Also I named key staff to talk to in the advent of concerns and a parent from a year group I haven't taught found me and aired some concerns. These were easily resolved and she went away with faith in us.
